RIVER FISHING TO LET – SEE UNDER AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY TO LET
MOLANDS Molands has been very up and down this week with nets to over 100lb one day and much harder the next. The most consistent area has been around the 40s with pegs 8 – 10 or the other bank also a decent area. Method feeder to the island, bomb and pellet and down the margins with corn, dead reds and caster have all accounted for carp and F1s.
GEARYS Still fishing very hard at the moment with nets to around 80lb best but there have been quite a lot of fish into double figures. Method feeder, bomb and pellet and corn down the margins are accounting for the better nets. Skimmers are showing along the high bank with pole fished expander pellet or chopped worn and caster.
LITTLE GEARYS Another pool which has been hard by usual standards with nets to around 90lb best this week. The most successful action has been later in the day when the F1s and carp come down the margins and caster, corn or pellet fished tight in has worked really well. Caster shallow and bomb with 6mm pellet has also been catching a few fish.
ANNIVERSARIES Plenty of F1s are showing with pegs 2 – 6 and 21 – 23 the most consistent areas. Float fished corn, maggot and pellet are working best at the moment but a small pellet feeder on the more open pegs has also worked well.
SIBLINGS A Some nice carp up to 12lb have been caught this week and fishing down the margins with corn or dead maggots are accounting for the better sized fish. F1s, ide and the smaller carp are coming to pellet shallow or on the deck down the middle of the pool.
SIBLINGS B It has been a little tougher on Siblings B this week with the F1s switching off a bit but nets to over 60lb have been taken. Pole fished pellet, maggot or caster are working best fished long early on but coming close in later.
WILLOW Still the most consistent pool with decent nets of F1s, carp and skimmers coming out to a variety of tactics. Long pole with pellet either fished shallow or on the deck, fishing down the margins with corn over micros or a small pellet waggler to the island have all provided decent catches this week.
GRATUITIES Pellet waggler or a small method feeder to the island is working best for carp in the 2 – 5lb range. Bigger lumps are coming to corn or worm fished down the margins over ground bait.
